A Day in the Life of: As a member of our team, you will work closely with the Graphic Designer and the Content Manager to develop content and integrate communications efforts across all of SOAR365's channels. You will also be responsible for promoting a positive public image of the organization through public relations and social media efforts

Responsibilities and Duties: Contribute to marketing and communications strategy for SOAR365 to be best-in-class and cultivate relationships with key internal and external audiences. Develop, manage and implement multi-channel communications plans and timelines with various SOAR365 internal and external stakeholders (Business Solutions, Community Engagement, Volunteer Engagement, Human Services, Events, staff, donors, volunteers, public, client families, etc.
) in support of SOAR365's marketing and communications strategy. Manage the internal communications strategy and employee engagement initiatives. In collaboration with team, create new or update existing communications modalities for employees to ensure effective employee engagement via communications. Write and distribute regular employee communications. In collaboration with Content Manager, write and distribute multiple e-newsletters to various audiences. Develop and implement SOAR365's social media strategy and manage the social media intern. Manage the paid media, social media and general ad needs of the organization.
Develop and implement a public relations strategy for the organization. Write and distribute press releases, op-eds, editorials for SOAR365 with the goal of obtaining regular coverage of the organization's work in traditional and trade press. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required in related field such as communications, English, speech, journalism, mass communications, broadcasting or public relations. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years working in communications management functions with a strong understanding of non-profit operations and functioning.
Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive internal and external communications strategies. Strong proofreading skills (for both web and print materials), high attention to detail, and knowledge of AP Style guidelines. Proficient knowledge of social media channels, content creation for these platforms and integration with web environment. Knowledge of social media scheduling platforms a plus.
