As a Production Manager (2nd Shift) you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of multiple production departments related to the processing of materials or manufacturing of products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan multiple production department operations. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, plans p roduction operations, establishes priorities and sequences for production process. Reads customer specification and drawings to determine
start-up procedure and other specifications for setting up pipe for production operations. Under the direction of the Plant Manager, prepares daily operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications for projects.
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. At the discretion of the Plant Manager, reviews work orders to estimate worker hours and create schedules that meet both internal and external needs. Collaborates with Planning and Scheduling to ensure work centers are properly staffed and
Planning is using the correct resources, efficiencies, and utilizations in the PS model.
Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Formally reports to Maintenance on equipment issues in the form of emails and work requests for equipment repairs. Determines amounts of stock and supplies required for production operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from purchasing department. Confers with operators to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods. Trains and assists employees as needed to ensure adequate quality and productivity.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and use of equipment to increase efficiency of crews and employees; observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. Collaborates with the Business Process Automation group to ensure process are documented and recipe management is maintained for all setups. Collaborates with Welding Engineer to ensure all weld procedures are established and maintained appropriately. Resolves employee issues and complaints or submits unresolved matters to Human Resources for further resolution. Oversees repairs or replacement of defective parts.
Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data. Performs other tasks as instructed by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university in an Engineering discipline, preferred; and two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work a second shift schedule. Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to write routine reports, procedures and work instructions and correspondence. Must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to operate computer-controlled panels, including reading and interpreting console indicators and gauges Must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in English. Must be able to read, understand and interpret technical drawings. Must be able to supervise employees assigned to department areas.
Must have knowledge of welding processes. Must have knowledge of industrial safety compliance. The Analyst is responsible for monitoring and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes and workflows for the manufacturing of spiral weld pipe operations.
The position will monitor the control room SCADA/MES system while in operation while process analysis. Responsibilities include: Monitor Operations in the Control Room. Organize, implement, and maintain production process control plans. Develop work instructions, workmanship standards and process documents, and assurance of utilizations.
Improve continually existing operations for increased quality, productivity, efficiency and cost savings. Investigate and correct operational issues impacting production and reporting solutions to various stakeholders.
Evaluate business processes, business requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and assist with developing / implementing solutions. Review and map core operations utilizing value stream mapping, to identify inefficiencies, waste, manual effort, and opportunities for scalable improvement. Analyze and monitor data and key performance indicators related to time, cost, quality, and productivity to enlighten potential operational improvement initiatives. Monitor and measure
the effectiveness of ASWP processes to ensure consistent value delivery.
Liase with production planning, project engineering, and plant management for ensuring the released production jobs are setup correctly in MES. Provide manufacturing process data. E. g. production control charts, reliability analysis and process capability, to continuously improve processes.
