As a Production Manager you will provide direction and leadership to a workforce of 6 supervisors and 100+ employees over

3 shifts while ensuring operational efficiency. This position is responsible for the effective and successful management of safety, labor, productivity, and quality.

Primary Duties Enhance operational procedures, systems and principles, and look for opportunities to improve. Act as a ‘change agent’ with the ability to effectively persuade resistance to change. Direct manufacturing activities to ensure maximum quality is safely delivered in full, and on time to customers. Work cross-functionally with other members of the engineering team and manufacturing departments to aid in the manufacturing process. Interact with ERP systems to enter maintenance work orders, enter purchases requisitions,

view inventory levels, and run reports. Apply DMAIC or PDCA continuous improvement methodologies.

Develop and ensure appropriate standard work is developed and in place to minimize problem reoccurrence. Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime. Anticipate bottlenecks, clarify project priorities, identify risks, and escalate issues that cannot be internally resolved. Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels. Qualifications / Experience / Education Bachelor’s degree preferred. 5+ year experience in manufacturing operations. 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity. Deep knowledge in production line flow, yield, and uptime analysis for improvement.

Knowledge in the fundamentals of lean manufacturing including reduction of variability, waste elimination, and theory of constraints to drive continuous improvement. Ability to coach/mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Proficient in MS Office and ERP software. Experience in reporting on key production metrics. Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 50 pounds. Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one location to another, and speak and actively listen.
