Job Summary: The Production Supervisor role is responsible for safety, employee management and engagement, productivity, quality, and customer service on an assigned shift.
This role directs and coordinates day-to-day shift activities by providing leadership and supervision in assigned departments (but may be assigned other duties). The Production Supervisor understands and aligns business operations as they execute the role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial, and operational objectives. The Production
Supervisor shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International's good reputation in its relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies.

Job Functions: Work directly with and supervises production. Direct and support activities and personnel compliance in developing a safe work environment and fostering a culture of safe performance. Achieve productivity by establishing and communicating clear goals, providing requisite resources to the team, engaging the team,
and setting appropriate priorities and monitoring progress. Achieve desired level of engagement by providing leadership on the shift.
Engagement includes listening and responding to employee issues, taking decisive actions, recognizing excellent performance, and holding employees accountable for performance and personal actions. Achieve quality and waste goals by ensuring all direct reports are properly trained on equipment, folowing proper procedures, performing requisite inspections, and acting upon suggested improvements. Administer, communicate, and interpret work procedures and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree (Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Business Administration, or related field) strongly preferred; extensive work experience as a Production Supervisor within a manufacturing environment, required in lieu of degree.
Experience/Skills Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing leadership role (Lead operator, Group Leader, etc). Minimum 3 years manufacturing supervisor experience, strongly preferred. Demonstrated decision making skills, being both timely and effective. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including motivation of team members and conflict resolution.
Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S or other discipline. Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications and QAD experience. Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
