function and their processes. Able to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose issues in order to take appropriate action.
Able to thoroughly train others on existing and new programs/ machines Able to update and modify programs as needed LEAD CNC MACHINIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Setting production machinery for acceptable production processes and obtaining run approval. Analyze machine, tool, and program issues and makes basic repairs, as well as handling minor routine maintenance. Perform repetitive and custom work utilizing fixtures, machine stops, indexing devices, to control critical tolerances and dimensions. Assure conformance to quality specifications using a variety of gages and indicators.
Effectively communicate with personnel at all levels. Meet production quantity and quality standards. Ensure safety guards and personal protective equipment are in place at all times. Follow and enforce work Instructions, procedures, and company policies. Duties include: †Setup and operate 3 and 4-axis CNC milling centers on variety of parts from very complex to simple details. †Machining a variety of materials including mild steel, tool steels, plastics, alum, and exotic super alloys. †Machine parts to print within tolerances allowed.
†Work one on one with managers on work instructions and processes. †Ability to work off a schedule to ensure deliveries†Maintain good housekeeping and preventative maintenance of all equipment and facilities. †Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork environment. Requirements†Exceptional complex part setup skills. †Hurco control experience preferred but will train. †Attention to detail with a strong work ethic. †Show up every day ready to work scheduled hours. †Basic machinist tools †Able to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions†Good understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
