requirements. This includes first article inspection, incoming part inspections, nonconformance management and supporting the Quality Assurance system as directed.
Essential Job Responsibilities: Inspect mechanical parts (including weldments, machined parts, etc. ) and electrical assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, Complete necessary procedures and documentation to satisfy quality requirements, and indicate concurrence with acceptance or rejection decisions Clean and maintain QC equipment and instruments to ensure proper functioning. Initiate non-conformance reports Assist the quality assurance team in investigations Required Job Qualifications (unless otherwise noted):
Educational Background High/Trade School diploma or equivalent required.
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector certificate a plus Previous Work Experience 5 + years' experience performing quality assurance in a manufacturing environment Special Skills, Experience and Abilities Ability to read drawings including geometric, dimensioning and tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5) Proficient and accurate in the use of hand measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gages etc. Proficient in Word and Excel. Experience with SAP is a plus Knowledge of AQL sampling is a plus Experience operating vision systems and/or CMM is a plus Physical requirements/Work environment Office and laboratory environments; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
