install, and commission electrical control systems for new and existing industrial automation equipment. Perform programming (create new and modify existing) of control devices including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servos, and Machine Vision Inspection.
Assist maintenance in all aspects of electrical troubleshooting - PLC's, ladder logic programming, AC and DC circuits, electrical sensors and switches, motor controls and servo controllers, and safety circuits. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, performance, and cost. Develop, manage, and support capital projects. Direct and coordinate internal personnel and external vendors on project work including
system installation, configuration, design, and development of new equipment and equipment improvements.
Electrical Controls Engineer Position Requirements: Must meet one of the following requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; must be completed by May 2024. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology PLUS 2+ years electrical control design and programming for industrial automation equipment Travel to other locations within Winchester as required for training or other support activities. Recent co-op or intern experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Recent related experience designing, programming, and supporting electrical control systems for industrial automation equipment preferred.
Proven PLC Programming experience - Omron and Allen Bradley PLC with networking (Ethernet, Ether CAT, etc) experience, preferred. PLC background requires writing, debugging, developing, and troubleshooting PLC's. Understanding of applicable industry codes & standards i. e. ANSI B11, NFPA 70, 70E, 79, preferred. Proficiency in script-based programming and network components - experience with Windows and server environment, virtual machines, and SQL databases, preferred. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required.
