JOB SUMMARY : Primary responsibilities include ensuring the completion of all daily goals within the Console Department over the weekend hours (Thursday-Monday).
This involves helping to provide insight within the department while testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and deploying analog/digital console systems. QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising appropriate
levels of judgment and discretion under the direct supervision of the Console Department Supervisor. Ability to prioritize and complete tasks under strict deadlines.
Ability to understand and present information/ideas in writing, in person, or over the phone. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Advanced, thorough understanding of analog/digital consoles and signal flow. Advanced soldering skills. Advanced computer/networking skills. Knowledge of Avid, Allen & Heath, Di Gi Co, Midas, SSL, and Yamaha mixing consoles. Knowledge of Digital Audio Workstations (Including Pro Tools HD) Knowledge of Waves Soundgrid Systems and Plug-ins Knowledge of Universal Audio Plug-ins
Knowledge of digital audio protocols (MADI, Dante, AES-50, Twin Lane, etc.
) Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail. Must have strong interpersonal and technical skills. Willingness to assist in other departments as needed during the weekend hours. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Highschool diploma or equivalent. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Test/maintain console systems and associated hardware/software. Continual use of our ERP software to proficiently track, manage, document, and prep company owned assets. Assist Road staff with equipment preparation. Document gear returning from tour when required. Provide guidance to the other Console technicians, Road staff, and RITs Create and document standard test procedures/files for outgoing console systems.
Test/maintain console systems and associated hardware/software. Troubleshoot full console systems in person and over the phone. Prepare outgoing console systems. Understand and assist with builds and preps of entire audio systems (including E-Racks, RF systems, and full tour preps). Other duties may be assigned.
