Sayres is seeking an experienced Shipyard Production Analyst with a current SECRET clearance, or ability to obtain a clearance, in Marinette, WI. These duties will include the following: Analyze shipyard production practices, assist in tracking lead ship production issues and facilitating application to follow ships in a timely manner.
Play a role in the successful construction of the Navy's newest Frigate by reviewing engineering products and monitoring every phase of the production efforts at the Shipbuilder's Facility in Marinette, Wisconsin. You will be part of a large contingent of Navy and contractor personnel
on-site to support the ship construction effort. You will be exposed to every aspect of shipbuilding and share in the wealth of knowledge. As a Production Analyst, you will be collecting a variety of data and preparing presentable information for higher levels of management up to and including the Navy's Program Manager.
In this role, you will: Conduct daily walk-throughs on modules being pre-outfitted and verify pipe and HVAC installations are IAW drawings. Conduct daily surveillance of pipe fab shop to observe spool progress and to confirm spools were IAW drawings (pipe material correctness, weld process, general spool configuration and dimensions, etc. ). Review all pipe flushing procedures
and test procedures to provide technical comments as needed.
Conduct progress surveys for each piping system and provide reports to document percent complete for each system. Develop and provide solutions or recommendations to conditions found on ship As progress warrants conduct surveys of HVAC ducting and machinery installations to confirm adherence to drawings and to observe production status. To be successful in this role, you will have: A High School Diploma or GED with Five to seven years of experience with shipyards and shipbuilding. The ability to obtain/maintain Secret Do D clearance post hire, Active Secret clearance Preferred Experience collecting data and presentations for higher level review.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point. The ability to use multiple programs (Auto-CAD forex) on a computer, access information and conduct product searches. Experience with a variety of software applications on a PC. Mid-level and above experience in using Microsoft Office Suite Tools. Experienced trade journeymen in Piping or HVAC. Experience in data keeping during a major ship construction program. Up to 10% travel required for this position. Additional desired experience and skills: Bachelor's degree. Experience working with military programs.
Former journeymen in at least one shipyard trade. Desire to learn Microsoft Excel. Prior Navy personnel with related experience are encouraged to apply.
