Coordinates the work of operations activities by oversees company business in such areas as: pickup and delivery operations, dock operations, night operations, inbound and outbound road operations, company office and equipment maintenance.

Initiates, compiles and disseminates information and statistics relative to the operational problems and costs within the scope of operations assigned. Selects and recommends personnel for various positions and trains assigned personnel to become knowledgeable and understand Midwest system of operation, according to the

position applied for. Responsibilities include manpower planning and employment (labor cost control - cost performance per man hour). Provides continuous training to their own people within the terminal or within their field of duty.

Formulates policies, programs, and procedures for Midwest's transportation system including schedules, routes, assignment of drivers, vehicles and other company operations.
