Repairs and replaces engines, fuel injection systems, electronic engine controls, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems, computer systems, drive-trains and differentials. • Schedules and performs preventative maintenance such as changing oil, lubricating, replacing hoses and belts, replacing brakes, rotors and drums, checking lights and tuning engine.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a High School Diploma supplemented by a minimum of one to two years of experience in a job related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid driver's license. Physical Requirements : Must be physically able to operate a variety of heavy machines and equipment. Works extended overtime during major power outages, severe weather, etc. Performs all work in compliance with plans, specifications, codes, safety regulations, and department policies and procedures. Generates and/or prepares a variety of documents including completed work orders, completed tree investigation forms, and completed testing forms (ACRT certification). Refers to the city tree ordinance, personnel and safety policies, equipment maintenance guides, and chemical instructions. Interacts and communicates with various internal and external groups and individuals. Operates a variety of heavy machinery such as bucket trucks, pickup trucks, dump trucks, backhoe, tractor, chain saws, stump grinders, etc.
