START Clinic, is a synergistic outpatient behavioral health program that serves young children age 0-5 with complex social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs and their caregivers. The program is funded by the County of San Diego, Behavioral Health Services.
Kid START Clinic provides comprehensive backssment and treatment services. Evidence-based practices (EBPs) and evidence-informed treatments focus on trauma-informed infant and early childhood mental health and includes the Caregiver Wellness Program to address caregiver needs while their child is in treatment. The Kid START Clinic Social Worker (ACSW, AMFT, APCC) provides developmentally- and culturally-appropriate therapeutic
interventions, psychoeducation, and case management to children and families served by the program within a multidisciplinary team. Documentation meeting Medi Cal requirements is completed in San Diego County's electronic health record.
JOB SUMMARY: The Social Worker I applies principles of Social Work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with backssment, interventions, support, advocacy, and case management. In all departments, practices as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families. The Social Worker I backsses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified
in the backssment and by the Team. Utilizes knowledge of culture, age, and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team.
Also, may provide support and debriefing to RCHSD staff following traumatic events. The Social Worker may also participate in administrative duties, as assigned by the Supervisor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or related field Registration with the State of California as an ASW or MFTI, as appropriate by discipline 1 year of experience 1 year of pediatric professional experience Bilingual English/Spanish is required due to the business needs of the department Valid California's driver's license with proof of insurance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of experience Experience in backssment and treatment of young children and adults Formal training and experience in backssment and treatment of trauma Training and experience in backssment and treatment of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions Experience utilizing diversity-informed practices The expected hiring range for this position is $34.13 to $46.93 Rady Children's Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable.
