Duties: Manage and advise on privacy program management initiatives within the law firm. Conduct legal backssments to determine compliance with emerging privacy laws and design effective work plans for clients. Conduct processing risk backssments and collaborate with clients to document data flows and associated requirements. Develop and lead training sessions for junior associates
within the firm. Provide expert legal counsel in product counseling, particularly in the telecommunications industry. Requirements:7-10 years of legal experience, with a preference for in-house experience either as a full-time employee or secondee.
Admission to the Florida Bar. In-depth knowledge of key U. S. and global privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act/California Privacy Rights Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Colorado Privacy Act, and EU General Data Protection Regulation. Proven experience backssing legal exposure and designing compliance strategies for diverse privacy laws. Previous experience in conducting processing risk backssments and documenting
data flows for clients. Experience in developing and leading training sessions for junior associates.
Preferred experience in the telecommunications industry. Education and Certifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Florida Bar. Preferred Certifications: Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) certification. Skills: Excellent legal research and analytical skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work. Familiarity with telecommunications industry practices.
