Job Duties: Manage and oversee privacy program management work with a specific emphasis on product counseling backss legal exposure and design comprehensive work plans to ensure clients' compliance with evolving privacy laws, including but not limited to the California Consumer Privacy Act/California Privacy Rights Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Colorado Privacy Act, and EU General Data Protection Regulation. Conduct
processing risk backssments and collaborate with clients to document data flows and related requirements. Develop and lead training sessions for junior associates to enhance their understanding of privacy laws and best practices.
Provide legal counsel on privacy-related matters to clients, addressing specific challenges and proposing effective solutions. Stay abreast of changes in privacy laws and regulations, ensuring proactive adaptation of legal strategies to comply with new requirements. Job Requirements:7-10 years of legal experience, preferably with in-house experience as a full-time employee or secondee. Admission to the Massachusetts Bar. Deep familiarity with key U. S. and global
privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act/California Privacy Rights Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Colorado Privacy Act, and EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Proven experience in backssing legal exposure and designing work plans to bring clients into compliance with privacy laws. Experience in conducting processing risk backssments and documenting data flows and related requirements. Previous experience in developing and leading training sessions for junior associates. Preferred experience in the telecommunications industry. Preferred certification: CIPP/US. Education and Certifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Massachusetts Bar. Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) certification (preferred). Skills: Strong legal research and analytical skills.
