Perform patentability analysis and assist in patent clearance studies and other patent-related opinion projects. Engage in practice development activities to build and maintain client relationships. Prepare substantive client correspondence related to patent matters. Instruct local counsel for foreign filings and Office Actions. Ability to apply advanced concepts in biomedical and mechanical engineering fields,
with a focus on medical devices. Study and analyze scientific or technical documents, including previously published patent documents. Experience with medical devices is a plus.
Assist in patent prosecution and drafting patent applications, or relevant experience examining patent applications at the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or graduate degree), preferably in biomedical or mechanical engineering; related degrees will be considered. Experience with medical devices is advantageous. Experience in drafting patent applications and patent prosecution preferred. Registered patent agent or eligibility to sit for the USPTO patent agent exam. Skills:
