Responsibilities: The Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric med-management services to the residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned
territory. Essential Functions: Monitor psychiatric medications for effectiveness, response of resident, and side effects Inform residents of potential side effects of psychiatric medications Recommend the initiation of any psychiatric medication deemed appropriate Complete AIMS testing every three months on residents receiving antipsychotic medication Monitor tapering of psychiatric medications according to federal regulations Recommend behavioral interventions to nursing staff Develop behavior plans as needed Perform other duties as assigned Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited college/university
