Duties: Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on benefits and ERISA matters. Assist in the design, drafting, and implementation of retirement and benefit plans. Advise clients on taxation and fiduciary law aspects of ERISA compliance. Conduct legal research to stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends. Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external consultants to develop effective strategies.
Draft and review legal documents, including plan documents, amendments, and summary plan descriptions. Represent clients in negotiations and communications with government agencies related to benefits compliance.
Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Bar in the state of Maryland.1-4 years of experience in benefits and ERISA law in a mid-size to large law firm setting. Certifications: Active membership in good standing with the Maryland State Bar. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent legal research and writing skills. Thorough understanding of ERISA regulations and related tax laws. Detail-oriented with a commitment
