Should have a background in electrical engineering or computer-related technologies.
A USPTO registration number is essential. Should preferably have a technical degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science. Other degrees with practical experience in electrical engineering or computer-related technologies will be considered. Should have experience at a law firm with an active patent prosecution practice.
Must have experience preparing and successfully prosecuting U. S. and international patent applications. Must be admitted to, and in good standing in, Massachusetts or the ability to become so admitted.
Area of concentration is intellectual property law. The head office is based in Massachusetts. Fifteen talented attorneys are on staff. There are four areas of practice. Patents, trademarks, copyright and trade secrets are their practice disciplines. The firm and attorneys were named in prominent industry publications. Additional Skills: The candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have self-motivation and the ability to independently manage competing responsibilities and deadlines, an entrepreneurial outlook and a keen interest in business development and helping to maintain and grow client relationships.
