This role requires expertise in commercial real estate, construction, and banking law, and the candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring junior associates and support staff.

Duties: Independently manage all phases of commercial real estate lending transactions. Review, draft, and negotiate various finance transactions, including acquisitions, mezzanine loans, and corporate asset-secured loans. Manage preparation and negotiation of contracts for property acquisition, sale, and/or exchange. Oversee the preparation of easements, dedications, and subdivisions.

Review commitment letters, term sheets, fee letters, credit agreements, and ancillary loan documents. Review title reports and real estate surveys, overseeing title clearance.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored legal advice. Lead and mentor junior associates and support staff, managing transaction workflows. Requirements: J. D. from an accredited law school. Admission to the Virginia, Maryland, or DC State Bar. Minimum of 4 years of substantial commercial lending and real estate law experience. Experience: Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate and construction, including acquisitions, dispositions, construction contracts, and commercial leasing.

Experience in banking and finance law is a plus, representing banks, developers, builders, and real estate owners in secured lending transactions.
