the First Year Integrated Core (FYIC) Communications Coordinator and other FYIC faculty in creating, managing, and maintaining content efforts on FYIC social media accounts.

Our goal is to be the nation’s top public undergraduate business school and in order to achieve our goals, we need to find new and innovative ways to reach our audiences, to deepen their engagement with us, and to grow their influence by sharing stories about our students, faculty and staff, and alumni.

This position is a part-time, hourly position. Multiple positions are available. Essential Duties: The FYIC Student Worker will: Work approximately 10 hours per week. Work with the FYIC Communications Coordinator

(Dr. Justin Mc Glothin) to attend FYIC events (including, but not limited to, client challenge launches, FYIC welcome events, spending time with potential students) and create media (photos, videos, etc) for content creation.

Continue to develop our social media presence and provide updates on FYIC news and happenings. All posts will be monitored and approved by Dr. Mc Glothin. Meet regularly with the FYIC Communications Coordinator to discuss the ongoing content strategies on the FYIC social media accounts in order to update content, gather content from classes and current students, and develop new content – as needed – for those channels. in at minimum two of the audiences below: 1. Prospective students, their parents and high school counselors: a.

Primary goal: To ensure the Farmer School is a first choice for tomorrow’s leaders. b. How: We need to systematically identify high schools of interest and then activate resources such as recent alumni of the high school to reach out to the high schools. This position would monitor the outreach to high schools. c. Measures of success: Increased applications from the targeted high schools, including out of state students. Minimum Qualifications: Student must be a successful graduate of the FYIC and be knowledgeable about the curricula in all four classes.

Student must be a self-starter and proactive. Student needs to have significant experience with social media platforms and content creation. Student must be able to work productively without direct supervision. Preferred Qualifications: The candidate should have strong writing ability, great organizational skills, creative energy, and be detail-oriented. The outcomes will be evaluated at the end of the semester, and job duties will be modified appropriately. Special Instructions: Submit cover letter and resume with application.
