· Enforce agency policies and maintain a visible presence in the facility. · Provide security support to staff, clients, and visitors. · Provide first response to any emergency situations occurring in the facility. · Participation in Client risk review· Monitors all parking lots and common areas within the campus grounds· Conducts facility rounds as
scheduled to ensure doors are locked, etc. · Manage campus key systems as directed· Supports a system-wide understanding of trauma prevalence, impact and trauma informed care.
· Fosters healing, hopeful, honest and trusting relationships for clients and employees; Values client voice, choice and self-advocacy. · Demonstrates a commitment to cultural competence. · Promotes a safe, calm and secure environment with supportive care services that are trauma specific and promote recovery and wellness. · Attend monthly staff meeting· Interact with and monitor client behavior and maintain good rapport by providing excellent customer service. Encourage clients to comply with facility policy and
procedures. Perform Crisis Intervention to de-escalate potential crisis situations and document all such situations and interventions.
Make half hourly rounds throughout the entire facility including all hallways, stairwells, floors, bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchen, and office spaces. Complete logs, incident reports and all other required documentation. Make calls to police, fire department and other first responders as directed. Perform administrative and receptionist duties at the operations desk; monitor video surveillance cameras, and fire prevention / detection alarm notification system. Provide duties related to fire incidents, evacuation of the building when necessary, utilizing Fire procedure.
Ensure the safety and security of all assigned equipment. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities Education and/or Experience· High school diploma or GED. Prior security experience required. CPR/First Aid Certification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) preferred. Client sensitivity training is preferred. Narcan Trained preferred. Must be able to work flexible shifts, Sunday to Saturday and overtime if necessary. Additional Information: Computer Skills Microsoft Office suite.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is expected to perform a range of physical motions including but not limited to: Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. standing, walking, sitting for long periods of time; kneeling, squatting, and stooping; running for brief periods of time; and go up and down stairs.
