Responsibilities include security patrols, alarm monitoring, and emergency response. The successful candidate will be able to work independently while exercising sound judgment; communicate effectively orally and in writing and have a demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Willingness to become DCJS (armed) certified in the future is a plus. Candidates must have a proven history
of dependability and punctuality as it relates to employment, must possess a valid Virginia driver's license, must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds, climb stairs, bend and squat and work in restricted/small spaces.
A general understanding of security processes and/or law enforcement is favorable. Criminal background check is required. Shifts are available with an expectation of minor schedule adjustments surrounding large events, holidays, or other occurrences as authorized by department management. Full-time roles are benefit-eligible with competitive pay and opportunities to increase pay when certifications are met. This is considered an essential role and will be required
to report for duty and conduct foot and vehicle patrols during emergency and inclement weather situations.
