This is a hybrid role. Role Description Underwriting Analyze property coverages and deal structure to determine risk exposure and technical pricing. Understand various lines of business (real estate schedules, inland marine, energy, boiler and machinery) to
adequately authorize Gen Re risk capital in accordance with underwriting standards.
Utilize understanding of company risk appetites and reinsurance needs to influence, tailor, and deliver reinsurance solutions to our clients. Collaborate internally across the department and organization, utilizing an international network of colleagues, referrals, and subject matter experts. Manage and prioritize individual deal flow, balancing multiple tasks and client needs in an entrepreneurial and fast paced environment. Relationship Management Develop, maintain, and grow Gen Re's direct sales relationship with client prospects and within existing client base. Navigate client segmentations (E&S, specialty, middle market, large accounts, etc.
) and influence clients at both the underwriter and C-suite level. Directly communicate and negotiate reinsurance terms and pricing to a wide range of reinsurance buyers across the insurance ecosystem. Participate in company and industry events to grow the Gen Re brand within target territories. Employ an entrepreneurial spirit to represent Gen Re Facultative in the marketplace, managing and growing one's own client base.
