The position will require you to act as a single point of contact for all installation and service requests of fire protection systems. You must have the ability to adapt to the client's needs and schedules, work outdoors on mobile equipment for logging, sanitation and mining customers. The ideal candidate for this position must be mechanically inclined with the ability to identify basic engine parts including the starter, alternator,
exhaust manifold and similar components on mobile equipment. You will have an outgoing personality, be organized, and be able to maintain a high level of professional conduct.
Essential Functions: Perform inspections, service, and installation on a variety of fire protection equipment in an outdoor environment Troubleshoot issues using experience, knowledge and communication Identify problems, document issues and recommend solutions Prefabricate fire suppression systems for field installation Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items Comply with company's and customers' safety programs Maintain or acquire local licenses and/or required
certifications Initiate and maintain effective lines of communication with customers Develop long-term relationships with customers and maintain customer retention Collaborate with our service sales team to identify ways to expand the services we can offer our customer base Qualifications/Skills: Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge Field mechanic experience preferred Ability to lift 75 lbs+, safely use ladders, work overhead and work in tight spaces A self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision Highly organized and detail-oriented Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable interacting with external and internal partners in a knowledgeable and helpful manner Ability to learn quickly is a must Education/Experience: 2-year technical degree preferred in maintenance or mechanics Fire protection experience a plus but not required We offer the best compensation package in the business!
