Job Description Maintain basic heating and ventilation systems, change filters, and other perform preventative maintenance for all buildings on the mine site. Maintain and repairs HVAC equipment such as pumps, piping systems, and performs welding and fabrication. Ability to work to finish. supervision. Responsible for pre-shift inspection of work area and equipment, and is expected to refer problems to the supervisor. Job Responsibilities 1. Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment on the mine site per supervisor direction.
Responsible for gathering technical information to perform the job. 2. Prepare computer generated work orders, change out parts, check the status of direct orders, and follow procedures to pick up parts and supplies from the warehouse. 3. Perform equipment walk around, inspect and operate equipment, and properly disposes of wastes. 4. Responsible for all tasks related to preventative maintenance program such as reporting fluid leaks, performing lube
work, taking fluid samples, inspecting components and parts for proper operation, damage or wear.
Repair and replace components and parts as needed. 5. Punctuality and regular attendance is required. 6. Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management. 7. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, confidentiality, and environmental policies. 8. Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the state. 9. Work safely in all areas, identify potential safety hazards, and work with management to correct hazards. 10. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Employee must have sufficient education to read and write, perform simple mathematics, and maintain neat and accurate records. Skills 1. Must have own hand tools. 2. Must have an understanding of lubrication procedures and systems and how to maintain and service equipment and machinery. 3. Must have a basic understanding of boilers, waste oil burners and air handler systems. 4. Must be able to operate small mobile equipment. 5. Ability to use hand and trade type tools. 6. Certification or ability to obtain certification as an MSHA instructor.
7. Must have an understanding of operating procedures, safety rules, policies, emergency procedures, and MSHA requirements. 8. Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. 9.
