illinois. gov/cms/benefits/Pages/default. aspx Job Responsibilities 25% Under administrative direction, serves as a Computer Support Analyst II for the Department of Innovation & Technology (Do IT): Performs complex professional and advisory functions in End User Computing (EUC) Image Management for assigned agencies.

As a highly advanced specialist, researches, tests, analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations on complex vendor supplied personal computing hardware, operating systems, utility programs, applications, software, and associated technology/methodology for personal computer configuration, imaging, and related standards. Compiles requirements, develops images, and facilitates testing. Enforces Do IT operations and management standards with regard to creation, content management, distribution, and storage of personal computer images. Consults with Bureau staff and Vendor resources on personal computer related technical issues.

25% Meets with customer agencies to determine and backss personal computing requirements: Reviews security and performance considerations to ensure compliance. Creates images and develops applicable software distribution/installation scripts. Facilitates customer acceptance testing and confirms image readiness for production utilizing Microsoft Server, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Lite-Touch imaging methodology, Active Directory, Microsoft and Mac Operating Systems internals, Power shell command and scripting, Automated Software Development tools such as Microsoft Installer scripts, System Management Server, System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Visio, Mc Afee Anti-virus, Outlook, routers, routing protocols, switches, firewalls, VPN, Internet-voice systems, programming languages and scripts.

20% Maintains detailed documentation of customer agency environments, personal computing installation requirements, and references image/software content in accordance with operations and management standards: Monitors Service Management tool to ensure service level agreements are being met. Escalates time sensitive requests to management.

20% Provides technical consultation/guidance on configuration and reference image/software related subject matter to installation, incident management, software packaging, network, and/or service management technicians. 5% Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology (IT) field: Continues education by attending meetings, training sessions, seminars and conferences to increase familiarity with and maintain current on IT products, vendors, techniques and procedures. Attends demonstrations and exhibitions related to assigned operations. 5% Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Minimum Qualifications: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields. Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Client Services, Image Management, or a related Information Technology field. Specialized Skills: Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Microsoft Server, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Lite-Touch imaging methodology, Active Directory, Microsoft and Mac Operating Systems internals, Power shell command and scripting, Automated Software Development tools such as Microsoft Installer scripts, System Management Server, System Center Configuration Manager, or Anti-virus.

Requires three (3) years of professional experience with configuration and development of imaging software and images and facilitating testing. Requires three (3) years of professional experience in End User Computing. Requires three (3) years of professional experience providing technical consultation/guidance. Requires three (3) years of professional experience with programming languages and scripts.

Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance): Three (3) years of professional experience in Microsoft Server, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Lite-Touch imaging methodology, Active Directory, Microsoft and Mac Operating Systems internals, Power shell command and scripting, Automated Software Development tools such as Microsoft Installer scripts, System Management Server, System Center Configuration Manager, or Anti-virus. Three (3) years of professional experience with configuration and development of imaging software and images and facilitating testing.

Three (3) years of professional experience in End User Computing. Three (3) years of professional experience providing technical consultation/guidance. Three (3) years of professional experience with programming languages and scripts. Extensive knowledge of personal computer hardware/software products, configurations, peripheral equipment, and related support methodologies to provide assigned technical and analytical services. Ability to analyze and diagnose system issues and coordinate efforts to resolve. Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with others.

Developed verbal and written communication skills to present information to others with clarity and precision.
