In this role you will perform support and problem solution functions for the more difficult problems and serve as a liaison with the vendor for Salesforce software problem resolutions related to the release. In addition, you will implement Salesforce installations, removals, modifications, and security according to agency requirements and Information Technology policy. This position also serves as a project

team member conducting difficult project assignments within set time frames to meet assigned project deliverables.

illinois. gov/cms/benefits/Pages/default. aspx Job Responsibility 45% Under general direction, serves as a Salesforce Release Specialist for the Department of Innovation & Technology (Do IT): Performs assigned release/change management activities for Salesforce development teams.

Analyzes data and implements judgment in defining and evaluating problems of an operational or procedural nature. Designs and implements new processes and facilitates user adoption. Analyzes and monitors information for smooth and timely deployments across multiple Salesforce environments. Implements analytical and programming functions to adapt, configure, or support Salesforce and applications related releases.

Performs support and problem solution functions for the more difficult problems. Utilizes System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and processes using Waterfall and Agile. Utilizes continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools, Copado, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), and Own Backup in performance of duties. Utilizes best practices and functionality in performance of duties. Assists manager in creating, implementing, and coordinating new release processes. Implements Salesforce installations, removals, modifications, and security according to agency requirements and Information Technology (IT) policy.

Performs Salesforce system tuning and measurement functions to improve Salesforce performance related to releases. 40% Serves as a project team member: Conducts difficult project assignments within set time frames to meet assigned project deliverables. Works with the project lead to prepare and update project schedules. Prepares detailed project status reports and technical documentation. Serves as a liaison with project teams and the vendor for Salesforce software problem resolutions related to the release. Works with and collaborates with multiple teams. Identifies issues, risks, and constraints that could adversely impact the project or its associated schedule and notifies project lead of findings.

Utilizes project management tools such as MS Power Point, MS Visio, MS Project, and MS Teams Azure in performance of duties. (Job Responsibilities continued) 10% Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field: Continues education by attending meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures. Attends demonstrations and exhibitions related to assigned operations.

5% Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications 1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related field. 2. Requires one (1) year of professional experience in Information Technology, applications services, or a related field. Specialized Skills 1. Requires one (1) year of professional experience supporting and maintaining the Salesforce platform or similar platform. 2.

Requires one (1) year of professional experience with release/change management with Salesforce or similar platform. 3. Requires one (1) year of professional experience with system development life cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile. 4. Requires one (1) year of professional experience utilizing project management tools such as MS Power Point, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Teams Azure or similar tools. Preferred Qualifications (In Order of Significance) 1. One (1) year of professional experience supporting and maintaining the Salesforce platform or similar platform. 2. One (1) year of professional experience with release/change management with Salesforce or similar platform.

3. One (1) year of professional experience with system development life cycle (SDLC) using Waterfall or Agile. 4. One (1) year of professional experience utilizing project management tools such as MS Power Point, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Teams Azure or similar tools. 5. Extensive knowledge of best practices and functionality. 6. Extensive knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Copado and Azure Dev Ops (ADO) Own Backup or similar tool. 7. Ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.

8. Ability to serve as a liaison with project teams and vendor for Salesforce software problem resolutions related to the release. 9. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. 10. Ability to assist release manager in creating, implementing, and coordinating new release processes. 11. Developed verbal and written communication skills to present information with clarity and precision.
