product development operations. Primary Responsibilities: Proactively implement and oversee quality systems such as ISO 9001 and ISO 26262. Coordinate and manage 3rd party audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Participate in program management operations to comply with customer requirements related to quality.
Conduct both internal and external quality audits to backss compliance with established quality standards and processes to validate software process compliance with ISO quality standards. Ensure documentation and procedures align with ISO 9001 requirements and compile detailed audit reports that include findings and recommendations for improvement.
Perform in-process audits to ensure all aspects of the quality process are followed during software development, testing, and release phases of programs. Assist in investigations of quality-related issues, deviations, and complaints.
Communicate with management what follow-up actions are taken to rectify any identified quality problems. Work to continuously improve and optimize the company quality process by reviewing processes, documentation, and practices to identify non-conformities and areas for improvement and keeping up to date with industry best practices. Should be able to produce effective, concise written communications about technical subjects including engineering and technical
documentation as well as review written materials and recommended revisions.
Collaborate with program management teams to ensure the selection of high-quality suppliers and sub-contractors. Implement supplier quality management programs to monitor and improve supplier performance. Conduct supplier audits to evaluate the quality and performance of external suppliers. Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality standards and processes. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the quality of products and services. Ensure performance metrics reflect the health of the business processes. Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to senior management.
Establish and maintain a robust Corrective and Preventive Action program to address and rectify quality issues systematically. Monitor the effectiveness of CAPA initiatives and drive continuous improvement. Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements: Bachelor's degree in applicable field and 3+ years of relevant experience. A strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards. Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies and Dev Ops practices. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Experience with QMS and systems including Jira/Confluence base environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. ISO Lead Auditor certification preferred Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a substantial amount of time operating a computer terminal. Frequently communicates with clients, team members, etc. Travel may be required. While we work in a hybrid work from home environment, this position requires living in the Orlando, FL area as work in the office is necessary on occasion.
