A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUPPORT TECHNICIAN As a tech support professional, you are the first response to important issues affecting our customer's services and
critical to maintaining the success of our company. You provide technical support to end-user customers by phone and email to investigate as well as troubleshoot a variety of connectivity and voice service issues.
This is all accomplished while you also monitor the uptime of critical infrastructure and customer networks. QUALIFICATIONS OF A SUPPORT TECHNICIAN 2+ years of networking experience Experience with troubleshooting wide area and local area network connectivity as well as administering VLANs Experience with Juniper and Cisco routing and switching equipment Ability to spot patterns in support issues quickly when investigating outages Ability to handle a steady pace of tech support trouble tickets Knowledge about the open systems interconnection (OSI) and Do D reference models Knowledge about voice protocols, specifically session initiation protocol (SIP) and voice over internet protocol (Vo IP) phone systems An active network certification including A+, CCENT, and Net+ is preferred.

The Senior Research Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing applications for visualizing, processing, and manipulating geophysical data. The candidate will provide professional products and services, outreach and education, and program and project management.
Primary Duties: Design, develop, and implement data ingest services to take raw data from observations or forecast models and prepare it for high-performance visualization. Identify meteorological or environmental features of interest and develop individual images and/or animations of satellite imagery for inclusion on NOAA website and social media accounts. Develop and maintain processes for automated
data ingest and cataloging. Support the development of educational materials. Some travel is expected. Required Education/Experience/Skills: B. S. degree in Computer Science, Geography, or related discipline 15 years of professional experience.
