The incumbent will collaborate with community physicians to ensure that patients presenting to the hospital are afforded high-quality care ranging from routine obstetrical and gynecologic services to high-risk procedures with the support of a multidisciplinary team of midwives, maternal fetal medicine specialists, and neonatologists.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience managing high acuity/high-risk cases and complex conditions. Responsibilities include labor floor, postpartum maternity, ED, triage, inpatient consults, emergent and elective gynecologic surgeries, and outpatient care. This is a
hybrid, hospital-based practice with an average of 178 monthly clinical hours. Successful candidates will be required to do a combination of three to four 8-hour office sessions, 24-hour inpatient shifts or 16-hour inpatient shifts, respectively.
Candidates with an interest and passion for teaching and quality improvement are preferred, as involvement with Memorial’s ACGME-accredited OBGYN Residency Program will be strongly encouraged. Ample resources for academic pursuits, spanning from clinical research through to basic science investigation, via affiliations with nearby universities are available.
