provide ongoing management of configuration and layout of the storage infrastructure as well as periodic analysis of the environment following best practices. You will also be r esponsible for ongoing storage recommendations, capacity planning and best practices, as applicable, for the following areas: business continuity, high availability, backup, recovery and archiving.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide reach-back to various storage vendor technical support. Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Provision storage based on standardized procedures to meet customer agreed upon standards. Generate regular storage
operations reports using government and/or vendor supplied tools. Responsible for configuration and layout of storage infrastructure. Proven proficiency in varied storage solutions.
Access to vendor proprietary tools to effectively manage the appropriate solutions on site. Coordinate the resolution of action items from the Configuration Control Board meetings, design reviews and test reviews that require cross-discipline coordination. Provide technical leadership and is responsible for the development of new storage infrastructure and Information Lifecycle Management designs, including requirements and analysis. Performs end-to-end analysis on the performance of the storage infrastructure,
presents findings, and submits recommendations for improvement.
Basic Qualifications: 15 years' related experience with a Bachelor's degree. Additional four years' experience may be substituted for Bachelor's degree. Experience in storage operations or storage architecture. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree from an accredited university in CS, IS, SE, or related field is preferred. Vendor certifications may be substituted for varying years of experience.
