necessity while you're providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you'll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.

Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition. Nurse Extern Med Surg PT Days Position Summary The nurse extern position is recognized by the Arizona Board of Nursing and is defined as a student nurse employed by a facility, and currently enrolled in a board-approved or accredited nursing program, who has completed at least their first clinical rotation or is a graduate from a Board-approved or accredited nursing program waiting to take NCLEX.
Nurse Externs are ineligible to work in this role after receiving RN licensure. The purpose of the nurse externship is to enhance education and to facilitate the transition in the RN role
