This position services our Enterprise Infrastructure Services Network and affiliated components for Florida Commerce. Responsible for providing Network Design, Network Security, Network Systems Consultation, Network Systems Implementations, Wireless Network Management, Network Systems Monitoring, AV Support, and CSA-B Management. Additionally, this position oversees voice/data communication support statewide for the regional field offices in Orlando, Jacksonville, and Ft. Lauderdale. The incumbent in this position
will work on special projects and also provide customer support services, to lower tiers in IT Operations as needed and will also be expected to address other duties as required.

Pay: $65,000 – $83,000 Annually Your Specific Responsibilities: Manage, Design and backss near and long term WAN, LAN, and WLAN for needs relating to capacity and scalability including baselines for network performance and packet priority. Design and manage Vo IP infrastructure and its associated software including call management systems, voicemail, and interactive voice response. Design and manage video conferencing systems including conference scheduling and video call quality. Conduct testing and development of disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions and backup systems as it relates to network functionality.
Collaborate and coordinate with Commerce security team members to ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Collaborate and coordinate with technical service team members of the State Data Center to effectively manage core network routing, including scheduled maintenance periods. Conducts information needs backssments through consultation with department managers, users, and IT administrators to understand network systems impact. Determine proactive prevention of problems, providing trend analysis via system monitoring methodologies and tools.
Accurately document architecture, design, and layout, including protocols and standards used, as well as configuration within the change management database. Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry. Develop and deploy methodologies for testing network performance. Provide assistance with the handling of network incidents escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support resources, including after-hours support.
Provide guidance, support, and knowledge transfer to secondary network support personnel and other junior team members. Performs other related work as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with WAN/LAN/WLAN administration and design. Experience with Vo IP administration and design. Experience with video conferencing administration and design. Effective communication, both verbal and written, with a wide range of audiences. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Ability to work individually and as part of a team. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.
Ability to balance multiple priorities and quickly adjust to changing priorities.
