DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for installation of information technology hardware/software
for Cooperative Extension and Agricultural Research personnel. Coordinates with the Agricultural Technology Conference Center Director and Family Development Center Director for setup and operating audiovisual equipment in conjunction with meetings, events, and audio and video conferencing.
Provide AV and IT support for major Land Grant events. Provides routine maintenance for all AV and IT equipment for operations including projectors and displays and video and audio-conferencing units. Responsible for maintenance of AV and IT equipment in all event spaces and conference rooms, including testing and minor repairs, cable management, and ensuring usability. Develop clear, non-technical
instructions for basic use of AV and IT equipment and conduct training for Land Grant employees as needed.
Attends regularly scheduled university technology meetings. Ensures Research and Extension technology items are compliant with University and NIFA standards. Recommends equipment upgrades and surplus equipment. Provides technology training on regular basis for Agricultural Research and Extension personnel. Ensures professional growth through participation in technology related educational program. Supports the FVSU Land Grant mission by actively participating in National and Regional Extension meetings and workshops, supporting the 1890 Research and Extension technology programmatic areas, and presenting at National and Regional Conferences.
