The EO/IR Mission Systems (EMS) team has more than quadrupled in size over the past 18 months

due to new contract wins, and continues to see increased demand from Boeing s customers. We re designing, building, and testing cutting edge sensor systems for airborne and space platforms.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA to support the systems engineering for Software, Firmware and algorithm development supporting prototype EO/IR sensing systems for airborne and space platforms. We are looking for a range of experience including Senior or Principal Systems Engineers. Candidates should have experience with all phases of software development, including creation and tracking of requirements, development of software documentation covering architecture, algorithms and interfaces, software configuration management, and development and execution of test and verification plans.

Additionally, candidates should have experience with the Agile software development process (sprint planning, scrum meetings, story definition, story points, etc. ). Position Responsibilities: Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions Lead evaluation of customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces Identify, define and maintain internal and external software/firmware interfaces and associated documentation Plan and lead software/firmware qualification testing in both simulated environments and on flight hardware for verification and validation of requirements Interface with program leadership and the customer on technical design issues and to present on software/firmware system designs Lead analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture Lead analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success Lead, develop, maintain and identify improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, FPGA/firmware/software configuration management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness backssment processes Lead activities to develop and maintain full documentation of architecture, algorithms, FPGA/firmware, software and system interfaces Plan and lead research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U. S. Secret Security Clearance (U. S. Citizenship Required).
