Contingent upon contract award Responsibilities: Be a key member of the world-wide support team, interfacing with customers (phone, e-mail, video conferences) on a regular basis, including answering helpdesk calls for triage and/or resolution Understand and suggest improvements to installation
and configuration procedures Contribute to and maintain system standards. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Monitor and troubleshoot daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. Develop and maintain operational
or other procedures. Ability to write and troubleshoot Linux BASH scripts is required Linux RPM/YUM processes - building new packages, maintaining/updating existing packages and managing software distribution repositories Troubleshooting of Oracle RAC and Mongo DB database clusters Troubleshooting of Cisco Switches, Kemp Load Balancers and Forti Gate Firewalls Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

The Helpdesk Specialist will support an IT Service Desk to provide end-users IT remediation and support to allow I2TS partners to effectively leverage the full capabilities of the available IT services and capabilities in direct support of the mission.
The Service Desk serves as the primary point of contact for the delivery of IT services for the Agency by receiving and responding to support requests for hardware/software and systems access. Additionally, the Helpdesk Specialist will provide assistance for all systems/applications under the control of
the I2TS. RESPONSIBILITIES The Helpdesk Specialist will support the full range of IT Service Desk functions and responsibilities to include, but not limited to; Capture and reporting of IT Service Desk support metrics Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all users of the systems Maintain a web-based capability for users to enter, track and escalate Service Desk tickets, as well as self-service actions (currently using Remedy) Remote access configuration and support for users and external customers as required (supporting telework, off-site travel, and mission or contingency operations) Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computer peripherals Provide tracking
