the tools that turn concepts into finished products. SUMMARY Perform engineering department duties involving the use of computer aided devices and design software to create new, modified, and/or improved designs of mechanical components using established engineering practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Analyze product and equipment specifications and performance requirements to develop mechanical designs and drafting that can be produced by existing manufacturing methods. Employ knowledge of engineering principles as it applies to this industry. Complete designs on time per the current engineering schedule and within corporate and engineering department guidelines. Design with due regard to
safety, economy, and ease of fabrication and operation. Provide technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations that affect the product being designed.
Notify the engineering manager of problems for determination of resolution. Pre-order long lead items with respect to lead times. Provide necessary drawing maintenance as required to maintain good quality engineering prints. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED Can complete mechanical drawings using computer aided design hardware and software. Able to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as the fundamentals
of plane and solid geometry, algebra, and trigonometry. Ability to solve practical mechanical design problems, interpret technical publications.
Able to respond to instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Respond to questions from managers, supervisors and other employees. Meet deadlines. EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED Prefer Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience. OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES Strong CAD skills and abilities, prefer experience in Autodesk Inventor. General shop knowledge. Is consistently at work on time, ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.

Excellent communication skills both oral and written, ability to negotiate in health care systems. Basic knowledge of Quality Improvement techniques. Experience: Experience in providing social work services preferably in an acute care setting or other health care environment. Experience providing short term counseling and crisis intervention. Experience in running therapy and psycho educational groups.
