Here's the short list of typical responsibilities (not exhaustive, of course): Evaluate current technologies and provide new strategies to technology team to revise, design, and implement the architectural structure to improve overall business processes and gain efficiency.

Manage all technological functions (hardware, software, and related resources) to meet company's current and future objectives. Continually evaluate business and technology opportunities, identify best practices, and implement new initiatives as appropriate, driving continuous improvement.

Ensures all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards. Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products. Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans in cooperation with other key stakeholders and vendors. Participates in project management process to ensure organizational projects are managed effectively. Assists in the organizational

oversight, transparency, accountability, and successful completion of projects.

Participates in executive committee meetings to advocate for technology advancements while keeping the Credit Union Member experience at the forefront of decisions made. Manages IT operating and capital budgets, effectively utilizing resources to best support credit union stakeholders including members, executive, and employees. Support capital planning for IT needs. Participates in preparation for and successful completion of audits and regulatory examinations. Develops, manages, and motivates a high-performing and highly engaged team, establishing individual and team performance goals, providing effective coaching and feedback, and holding himself/herself and staff accountable for results.

Serves as the BOD appointed Security Officer and Information Security Officer for the credit union. Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products. Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans. Last, but not least, here are the typical qualifications for this position: Requires at least 7-10 years related experience with hands on experience in a leadership role. Degree in Information Systems preferred, or similar field of study is desired but not required depending on relevant industry experience and technology training, i.

e. ITIL training/certification or Six Sigma training/certification. Work involves motivating and influencing other leaders and stakeholders to accomplish key organizational objectives. Periodically work involves making material presentations to the Board of Directors, and business leaders. Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and IT function oversight to include authentication, user management, network topology, network infrastructure principles, and Saa S platform management.

Familiarity with NCUA and/or FFIEC examination guidelines. Familiarity with modern cybersecurity frameworks (i. e. CSF, NIST, CIS). This position typically pays $215,000 - $220,000, based on experience.
