Position Summary: The IT Project Manager provides project management, coordination, planning, communication and guidance for information technology projects ranging in size, complexity. Will be responsible for project managing technical staff.
Duties include requirements gathering, defining scope, scheduling resources, monitoring performance, reporting and ensuring desired results are achieved. In addition, the IT project manager will be responsible for coordinating and participating in meetings and managing relationships within team, cross department, and customer staff.
Work also includes participating in change management, solution and problem identification and matching requirements with projects. May also be expected to support the developing policies, processes and strategies to ensure IT services are planned for and support cloud technologies. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for managing a broad range of IT application
analysis, management, and development projects. C reate and present project plan and deliverables Lead and direct multiple technology deployments Manage technical staff Provide direction and develop work assignments for a cross-functional team Develop and maintain strong relationships with Leadership and Subcontract Partners Display flexibility and agility in responding to business needs pertaining to staffing and workforce planning needs.
Develop and maintain strong customer and team relationships Resource planning and allocation Project coordination, scheduling and task actions Ensure accurate project documentation Proactive in identifying opportunities, risks, issues, and corrective actions Other Duties as Assigned: (5%) Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Master's degree in IT or related discipline Certification(s): PMP or equivalent Certification, 8570 IAT II certification desirable Experience: Minimum of 6 years professional experience in a project management role or 3 years with a Master's degree Working knowledge of Project Management methodologies Experience working with Department of Defense programs. Hands on technical IT experience Application development life cycle Dev OPS Project experience Ability to translate requirements into actionable items Familiarity with Cloud and software development projects (M365 Ci/CD pipeline/ AWS) Experience creating process workflows Demonstrable track record managing IT projects Superior organizational skills to analyze, develop and deliver detailed reports meeting tight suspense windows Experience working with contractual service level agreements Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs.
