You will participate in and/or direct major deliverable of projects through all aspects of the software development life cycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be a self-starter, strong leader, and have the ability to work independently with little supervision. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation,
cost and risk, and support ability and effectiveness analyzes. Provide technical guidance during a significant project in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining program.
Translating and interpreting functional requirements into test cases. Maintain test environment and install new software code as necessary as needed to support applications Develop and use automated test Perform regression testing, covering full suite of Operational Test Scenarios for builds and/or images to be delivered to customer. Develop detailed test plans, test data and define test acceptance criteria. Prepare test report summarizing test results including anomalies, systems errors, and configuration
changes. Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
Verify specific action or function of code and demonstrate successfully to customer. Assist the software development team in the implementation of automated regression testing. Support Customer Demonstration, data prep and UAT activities QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: 8 years' experience software development environment BS degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Proficiency and knowledge of the following: Oracle, Weblogic, SQL, My BATIS, IBM MQ, My SQL, Spring MVC, Salesforce, Struts, Hibernate, Java, JSF, Swing, Java Script, Bootstrap, Angular.
Knowledge of software design patterns. Experience with an issue/problem tracking system (e. g. Jira) Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & Power Point). Proficiency with common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and better development practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with Dev Ops frameworks S. Citizen Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance, at minimum Desired Qualifications Active CBP BI Experience with CBP Experience on AWS, CI/CD, Sec Dev Ops is a plus CBPOIT ABILITIES REQUIRED: Ability to provide clear and concise oral and written communications to all levels within the organization Ability to convey complex information in an easily understood manner Ability to present formal presentations to Ability to obtain and maintain CBP-BI Ability to work designated schedule, as well as maintain attendance and punctuality.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED: Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. Able to travel by air, automobile or train as necessary to CONUS CBP and Sentrillion locations.
