Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Strategic Academic Partnerships, the Instructional Designer/Technologist will be responsible for collaborating with faculty and subject matter experts to design and develop engaging and interactive learning materials, multimedia resources, and web-based content. Utilize instructional design principles to ensure alignment with learning objectives and
promote effective learning experiences. Assist faculty and staff in integrating instructional technology tools and software (e.
g. Canvas, Turnitin, Kaltura) into their teaching methodologies. Provide guidance on selecting and utilizing appropriate instructional technology solutions for face-to-face, online, hybrid courses. Provide guidance and troubleshooting support for faculty and students using the LMS. Collaborate with faculty and other stakeholders to identify instructional needs and develop innovative solutions. Provide individual consultations to faculty members, assisting them in applying pedagogical strategies and integrating technology effectively.
Ensure the quality and effectiveness of instructional materials through ongoing backssment and evaluation. Conduct reviews and provide recommendations for improvement based on student feedback, learning outcomes, and programmatic needs. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Required Degree(s): Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field. Preferred Degree(s): Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field. Required Field of Expertise: At least three (3) years of proven experience in instructional design, multimedia development, and the integration of technology in education.
Preferred Field of Expertise: At least five (5) years of proven experience in instructional design, multimedia development, and the integration of technology in education. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of and experience in online and classroom technology preferably in a K-12 program or Higher Education. Proficiency in using multimedia authoring tools, learning management systems, and other instructional technology platforms. Experience with Learning Management Systems, audience response systems, lecture capture, video streaming, and other educational technologies.
Strong knowledge of instructional design models, learning theories, and pedagogical strategies. Ability to organize and manage projects that involve a variety of stakeholders and timelines. Demonstrated teaching, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, IT professionals, and other stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Additional Information: Work Schedule This is a full-time, exempt-level, benefit-eligible position. Normal office hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, flexible to the needs of the department.
