Job Description: Manages an array of data collection and analysis platforms with primary focus on Retention software/systems like AIC Connect (Starfish). Responsibilities associated with this duty include to create and manage early alert accounts for all faculty and relevant staff; develop new innovative opportunities (e. g. implementation of tiered approach for proactive

advising outreach) within the system to support persistence and completion; work with the vendor to research issues and test the functionality of the system; assist with development of training and training materials; collaborate and consult with College faculty and staff to further embed early alert functionality into their daily work processes.

Provide data analysis and presents findings and reports regularly to the Office of Institutional backssment, Research, and Effectiveness and academic support staff. Synthesizes data from separate platforms to perform predictive modeling, evaluate program performance, trend analysis, student retention, and any other data related to student success.

Produces individual student profiles and aggregated data reports for Office of Institutional backssment, Research, and Effectiveness staff, academic support staff/advisors, and administration. Communicates suggests for improving data collection and modeling strategies. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Institutional backssment, Research, and Effectiveness. Requirements: Required Degree(s): Bachelor's degree Preferred Degree(s): Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Required Field of Expertise: Expertise in Excel, SPS, or SQL. Minimum of five years managing database or software systems.

Experience with producing detailed backssment, evaluation reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. Experience writing custom SQL reports. Preferred Field of Expertise: Familiarity and past work experience with student databases (e. g. Starfish, Campus Labs, Jenzabar). Experience with internal/external reporting in Higher Education (IPEDS, CDS, NC-SARA, etc. ). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Fluency in high-level software and coding language. Ability to create strong relationships with faculty, staff, and students. Excellent organizational skills and planning abilities; Must be able to manage multiple and complex projects.

Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and advanced computer skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, student databases and the ability to create detailed reports, documents, presentations. Protect the privacy and security of data, ensuring compliance with FERPA and other regulations. Additional Information: Work Schedule This is a full-time, exempt level, benefit-eligible position. Normal office hours are 8:30 a.
