The Cyber and SIGINT Solutions Operation has an exciting opportunity within the Intelligence Group at Leidos! This critical opening is for a highly experienced Senior Hardware System Engineer (SE) to work in our Annapolis Junction, Maryland office on a high priority
development effort. You must have an active TS/SCI Polygraph to qualify. This highly visible program includes cryptographic and cryptographic system capability modernization to enable complex, legacy system integration, Agile software development and modernization, cyber security, systems security compliance and certification, systems engineering, COTS integration, test and evaluation, implementation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) activities.
Primary Responsibilities You will be responsible for supporting hardware upgrade efforts on the program in conjunction with other System Engineers. You would be responsible for performing requirements gathering, reviewing vendor quotes, and
hands-on integration efforts to evaluate feasibility of the hardware.
This may include evaluating multiple solutions to determine which best fits the needs of the program. If needed, you will also be responsible for modifying the hardware after it is procured to ensure it meets requirements to be used in secured areas. You will also work closely with document writers and support them with updating program documentation to reflect the newly selected hardware; work closely with a team of engineers to provide support towards the creation of updated client platform images. You will be called on to lead various team efforts for deliverables and feedback to the program customer.
This will revolve around ongoing efforts to maintain the end user’s hardware platforms to include analysis of alternatives, hardware integration, image updates, and various level of effort requirements the program receives. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineer and at least 12 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted for a degree. Must have a proven track record of effectively organizing, monitoring, tracking, and managing project tasks; and meeting timelines, attaining established goals and milestones, and ensuring overall project quality.
Must have experience interfacing with Government customer and contractor personnel to formulate, review, and effectively execute task plans; and to complete deliverable items in accordance with approved plans. Must have experience with performing Analysis of Alternatives (Ao A) or with hardware requirements gathering, evaluation, and selection. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical staff and customers. Must have experience managing multiple projects, and quickly and effectively adjusting to shifting priorities and resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications At least 5 years of specific Customer cryptography and cryptographic system experience. At least 4 years of experience working with SAFe for large systems development. Experience effectively communicating at senior executive levels within an Intel Government customer organization. Experience leading a team or mentoring staff for the purpose of maintaining high levels of performance and positive morale. Pay Range: Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
