Provide database administration support in terms of installing, configuring, maintaining security, install patches and perform necessary upgrades in order to keep servers/databases updated and secure Includes database design, database structure identification, database schema definition, database access privilege management, database query optimization, documentation, database instance upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and database protection Works with application owners/developers to ensure database meets their requirements for performance and availability, Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring
of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.
Perform remedial actions as necessary to ensure database remain online and available to applications and user. Basic Qualifications BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience. Add'l experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Candidate must possess an active DOD TS/SCI level security clearance, and be eligible to obtain and maintain a w/CI Poly Installing, Upgrading, Patching MS SQL databases. Experience backing up and restoring database instances. Secure SQL Database to the latest DOD Security requirements and best practices. Has performed daily SQL Database Administration in adherence with DOD Standards.
Installed and maintain database schemas based on latest application requirements. Experience with SQL 2012 version or higher Database Experience in Windows Server IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e. g.
