Responsibilities of a Senior Systems Engineer include: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and key decision makers and achieve client satisfaction in all areas of performance. Develop unique and novel approaches to addressing production needs with integrated safety. Maintain an established network of SMEs. Continuously develop community relationships through outreach. Continuous

learning to ensure technical competence. Ensure proper execution of projects by leading system design activities such as developing and managing systems, hardware and software requirements, developing system architectures and designs, performing system level integration/test and assisting in validation for complex energetic, explosive, and propellant related processes.

The job requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be a team player. In conjunction with the project managers, develop, plan, and execute business goals and objectives which support the project team, financial milestones, and the client objectives. Responsible for the implementation

of safety and quality programs by all project staff. Assure business practices align with Contract terms.

Support Program and Project leadership in coordinating with technical leads, HR, Finance, Contracts & Procurement, in managing the detailed aspects of the project. Qualifications of a Senior Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s (or equivalent) in engineering with 8+ years of experience or a Master's in engineering with 6+ years of experience. 5+ years’ experience in a senior engineering or scientific role related to or supporting explosives, energetics, or propellants projects and programs. Examples can include research & development, production, qualification, etc.

Experience with the production, handling, processing, and design of energetic materials related to defense applications. Expertise in project planning and implementation, systems design and integration. 5+ years’ experience coordinating and integrating diverse stakeholders including government agencies, programs, and contractors. Demonstrated experience in program planning and prioritization. Demonstrated experience effectively leading and coordinating multiple teams. Demonstrated experience responding to sudden changes in program requirements or hazard analysis impacts. Demonstrated ability to provide clear written and oral briefings including the ability to adopt content for specific audiences.

Desired Qualifications: Advanced Degree in an engineering, shock physics, or related technical field is preferred. Process engineering and integration of complex production systems. Knowledge of quality requirements and system qualification. Experience managing production modernization projects, including new capabilities design and development. Experience manufacturing munitions, explosives, propellants for US military customers. Federal Acquisition Regulations knowledge preferred.
