technologies to support health informatics research in FSU e Health Lab and clinical informatics infrastructure for FSU Health.

He/she will also provide informatics and AI consultation in UF-FSU CTSA Hub. Responsible for developing web-based or stand-alone mobile applications that integrate mainstream back-end and front-end technologies to support health informatics research in FSU e Health Lab within College of Communication and Information.

Responsible for developing Smart-on-FHIR applications based on electronic health records to support clinical data research infrastructure for FSU Health and UF-FSU Clinical and Translational Science Award. Responsible for identifying, processing,

and analyzing health information sources, mapping these sources to existing health IT standards (e. g. biomedical ontologies), and integrating the mapped resources in relevant applications.

Responsible for providing medical informatics and AI-related consultation (machine learning, natural language processing) to FSU researchers as a team member of the Biostatistics, Informatics, and Research Design Program (BIRD) at UF-FSU CTSA Hub. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree. (Note: a combination

of post-high school education or experience equal to six years.

) Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues that arise during development. Attention to Detail: Especially important for healthcare applications where errors can have significant consequences. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of Front-end (User Interface) Development: Languages: HTML, CSS, Java Script. Frameworks & Libraries: React, Angular, or others. Responsive Web Design: Ensuring the application works on various devices and screen sizes. Knowledge of Back-end (Server, Database) Development: Languages: Python, Java, Node.

js Frameworks: Django (Python), Spring Boot (Java), Ruby on Rails, or others. Database Management Systems: Relational databases (e. g. Postgre SQL, My SQL, MS SQL Server) and No SQL databases (e. g. Mongo DB, Cassandra). API Development: RESTful or Graph QL for interaction between the front-end, back-end, and possibly other systems. Server Management: Familiarity with web servers like Apache, Nginx, and application servers if needed. Preferred Qualifications Integration Skills (desired but not required): Health Interoperability Standards: Familiarity with standards like HL7, FHIR, CDA, etc.

Integration with EHRs (Electronic Health Records): Know-how on popular platforms like Epic, Cerner, etc. Security Protocols: Knowledge of OAuth, SSO (Single Sign-On), and other authentication and authorization methods. Domain-specific Knowledge (desired but not required): Healthcare Data Standards: Understanding of terminologies like ICD-10, SNOMED CT, LOINC, etc. Regulations: Familiarity with healthcare regulations like HIPAA (for the US) to ensure patient data privacy and security. Medical Workflows: An understanding of the typical workflows in healthcare settings can be beneficial.

Other Desirable Skills Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, Git Hub Actions, etc. Version Control: Proficiency with tools like Git. Containerization and Orchestration: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies can be useful. Cloud Platforms: Experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
