This may include: Proactive operational management of the program team consisting of ECS employees, subcontract staff, and expert product consultants, responsible for all aspects of program delivery Performing project level financial management functions
including forecast development, cost estimation, budget formulation, and financial tracking and reporting Development, cultivation, and management of relationships with the client and to keep the program delivering as scheduled and budgeted Obtaining and monitoring commitments for tasks/deliverables from persons or groups within and outside of the program team; creating comprehensive program tools and documentation including client deliverables Closely managing the program team to successful completion; evaluating program, project, and task-level schedule variances; proactively managing surge requirements; updating project schedules as contributing factors change; managing resource allocation;
and evaluating, documenting, and monitoring risks and implementing risk mediation plans.
Conducting program team meetings, tracking issues & risks, decisions, action items, and following-up between meetings to drive issues to closure. Communicating program team progress, issues and recommendations to senior management through program status reviews Track project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and issues and facilitate communication of updates from project team for management and funding departments Manage long-term IT projects, performs design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints. Develop and implement long-term IT road-maps and strategy, and monitor alignment of tactical activities to strategic objectives Support the continuous improvement of operational processes by providing recommendations on improving products, services, and processes.
Required Skills: Bachelors Degree 5+ years' Project Management experience. 3+ years' experience working with a Federal Customer. Management of technical projects from inception to deployment. Experience with Jira and Confluence or other Agile tools. Fluency in cybersecurity practices and policy. Experience in the full systems engineering life cycle, from initial design/analysis to deployment.
Project Management, Agile, and/or Cyber Certifications (PMP / ACP / CSM / SAFe / CISM). Knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle. Desired Skills: PMP Certified and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. Experience facilitating monthly project controls meetings for assigned projects. Experience facilitating project budget set-up, budget transfers, and contract accounting reclasses to ensure charges to assigned projects are correct and in alignment with the project plans and delivery. Fully engage in solving complex problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutions to support program efficiency.
Communicate effectively across different platforms with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
