Provides project/task estimates to aid in the project planning process. Responsible for providing technical leadership in the areas of application architecture and design in accordance with industry standards related to the target platform; Identifies deviations in the solution design from the IT strategic plan
and proposes appropriate solutions. Provides technical direction and guidance to the architecture team relative to application development related topics, including research and design activities when required.
Works closely with project managers, other team members and external resources in the development and support of applications; Must communicate well with both business users and highly technical resources. Participates in application code review sessions. Applies application development skills to assist the group in completing projects, often addressing the most complex problems. Performs unit testing and supports quality assurance and user acceptance testing. Creates technical
documentation and performs technical presentations as required; Provides level one support for certain applications in the production environment by responding to end user questions and issues.
