Perform requirements and taskings using experience in Security+ or CISSP certification on day one. Must be fully conversant in the OSI model. Engineer must have the ability to troubleshoot production networks in real time without causing down time. Experience with Cisco infrastructure equipment - routers, switches, SAN switch fabrics, Vo IP telephones. Demonstrate the ability to trace
network and system issues back to their source, and to remediate issues without continuous supervision.
Knowledge of telecommunications networks, including PSTN, ISDN (BRI and PRI), ATM, MPLS, Point-to-Point, Frame Relay. Advanced knowledge of switch fabrics, layered infrastructure design, trunked interconnectivity, and VLANs. Knowledge of network-attached storage systems and i SCSI-based SANs. Additionally, COMSEC Experience in loading key material, configuring, and maintenance. Knowledge of classified communication systems.
