to provide systems engineering and other technical assistance to customer’s requirements development and planning for National SIGINT systems with a focus on how those requirements might be enhanced by using commercial space resources.
The selected systems engineer will work closely with the national-level customers to capture and document the requirements for the next generation systems.
The effort requires participation in numerous meetings, working groups, and integrated product teams, product reviews, and status meetings to monitor the systems engineering plans, development, and deployment of space and ground processing systems. The systems engineer will be a key member of
the team charged with the production of solid documentation of the customers’ requirements and a mapping of where, when and how those requirements will be satisfied by capabilities to be deployed across the extended IC enterprise as the next generation collection and processing systems are fielded.
The selected Systems Engineer will directly participate in structured analysis of alternatives (Ao A) decision making processes as plans work through the appropriate decision gates. To be successful, the selected individual must be able to communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Minimum Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering
field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of general systems engineering experience, a Master’s degree or Ph D in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of thirteen (13) years of general systems engineering experience, or a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience.
Must have at least fifteen (15) years of experience in the tactical SIGINT/cryptology field. Knowledge of National SIGINT technologies, capabilities, their associated system architectural components (i.
e. space systems, ground stations, ground processing systems), and knowledge of the national collection requirements prioritization system and associated processes is critical. An understanding of the policy constraints associated with the conduct of lawful SIGINT operations is also critical to success Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to represent customer organization at an intelligence community working requirements group or other technical forum. Ability to work within a team setting to complete assigned tasks within expected time schedule. Flexible/easily adaptable within a dynamic work environment that may require surge efforts.
